How to start windows 10 in safe mode, Here's 3 ways to easy

Safe mode is a condition where the windows operating system runs with minimal conditions, where the files & drivers are important that will be activated, this is usually done when will troubleshoot a problem on your computer.

In Windows 7 and earlier versions to enter Safe Mode simply by pressing F8 key before booting, but since the emergence of windows 8 to the latest version (windows 10), this way in has been replaced.

Here are three ways to enter Safe Mode in windows 10 that you can try.

Method 1 - Using the System Configuration tool (msconfig.exe)

One way to get into Safe Mode on windows 10 is through System Configuration.

This way is quite easy, you just tick Safe Boot in System Configuration and restart, then your computer will automatically go into Safe Mode. Here's the full tutorial:

1. The first step we have to do is go to the msconfig menu by typing "System Configuration" in the Start menu.

Another way is to use Run , by pressing Windows + R on the keyboard. And then type msconfig and press Enter or OK

2. After the System Configuration window opens, select the Boot tab and check Safe Boot.

There are four options that can be used in the Safe Boot setting mode, namely:
  • Minimal: Run Safe Mode with essential drivers and services, using the Windows GUI view.
  • Alternate Shell: Run Safe Mode with Command Prompt, without Windows GUI. This option requires more knowledge of command text, because the operation does not use the mouse .
  • Active Directory Repair: Run Safe Mode by providing complete access to information on computer components. This feature is usually used to repair failed hardware installed.
  • Network: Run Safe Mode with the service and drivers needed to access the network, using the Windows GUI view.

When finished set Boot Option press Enter or OK . Windows will give notice to reboot.

If you still have something to do, you can choose "Exit Without Restart" . Otherwise you can restart it now and your computer will automatically go to Safe Mode.

To be able to boot normally again you have to restore the settings to the original ie by unchecking the Safe Boot.

Method 2 - Use Shift + Restart Combination

Another way to get into Safe Mode is to use a combination of Shift + Restart. The trick is:

1. Go to the Start menu and click the Power menu.

2. Press and hold the Shift key while clicking Restart

3. Once completed it will appear three options. Select Troubleshoot.

4. On the Troubleshoot screen select Advaced Option.

5. Then on the Advanced Option screen select Startup Setting .

6. Windows will tell you to restart to change the Advanced Boot settings, including allowing Safe Mode. Select Restart .

7. After restarting, you will go to Startup Settings screen. There are three options to enter Safe Mode, each of which I have explained in Tutorial 1 .

8. To enter normal Safe mode press F4 key.

Method 3 - Using Advanced Startup

This latter way is almost the same as the second way, the only difference is how to get into the Troubleshoot screen.

1. The first step goes to Settings by pressing Windows + I.

2. Click Update & Security , and select Recovery tab.

3. In the Advanced Startup section, click the Restart now button to enter the Troubleshoot screen

4. The next step to enter the Safe Mode menu is the same as I described in Tutorial 2 in this tutorial.

That's all three ways to enter safe mode in windows 10 that you can try. What do you think is the easiest way?
